Quick Overview

This is a postcard from the 1940s during WWII which was purchased and sent from France or possibly Belgium in 1944 on December 21. My great uncle sent this postcard via New York to my great aunt who was living in Chicago at the time. I know this is a French postcard, because only in French is Stalin spelled Staline as it is on the front of the postcard. Above the J. Staline on the front of the postcard is a nice portrait of Stalin in black and white. The back of the postcard has my great uncle's private number and a short message to his wife, "Sweetheart- All is well - don't worry. I love you-- so much!" There is also a 6 cent stamp, and the post card has been stamped and passed by the US Army Examiner. Great condition overall, however there is a small crease in the upper right corner of the postcard.
